I believe that identifying personal style is a very important part of the process when creating a look you love. Yet, “your personal style” can be difficult to explain in words. The posts on this topic will hopefully paint a picture that will in turn help you make wise choices. To help you find your style, I have divided up the typical categories and added photos. You may be familiar with different names. I listed other common terms used in conjuction with several styles. This will give you an idea–at a glance. Can you be a combination of different styles? Defining your personal style can be difficult, especially when you embrace several styles. The pictures are very helpful. As I look at the different styles in each category I’m able to see which garments I LOVE and which garments I want to wear. Based on the photos I am predominately Classic, Chic with a touch of Dramatic. Thank you!
Before I started working with Karen I never even gave a minutes thought to what my personal style might be! With her help I have been able to get a better feel to what I am drawn to, what best complements my body type and why I have things hanging in my closet that I have purchased and never worn! What a WASTE!! And I love the fact that none of this is about looking like you are walking out of a magazine. It is about loving everything in your closet, wearing everything in your closet (space and money saved!) and feeling AMAZING, and CONFIDENT in everything you put on. That is going to look different on each of us … anything from a well put together casual “sweat suit” type outfit to a business suite for a board meeting. You may think..I’m not into fashion. This isn’t just about fashion, it’s about YOU!!!

It’s fun to have a community of women where it feels like we’re not obsessed with being a fashionista but really want to find the best style for ourselves. This website is great! Easy to move around and I love all the images and comments. This page in particular is really helpful. Having photos as examples of style personalities really helps me hone in on what appeals to me and why. Karen and I talked about my style when we first started the process, but it’s so much easier to see it than to explain it.
