If you pay any attention to network television, you may be aware there are certain weeks in the year when they pull out all the stops. New series, dramatic episodes, big name interviews are strategically planned to hit in “Sweeps Week” to gain viewers. All of this is carefully analyzed for Nielsen ratings which dictates advertising rates as well as whether or not a show will stay on the air.
In celebration of ONE YEAR of blogging and my 100th post, I’d like to announce my SWEEPS WEEK–a series of Style by Karen posts ending with my biggest giveaway yet! There will be a post every day from November 15-20. My goal is to increase readership, number of subscriptions and visits to my site. In appreciation to my readers near and far, you all will be able to participate in this contest week. Next Sunday, November 21 (which will be my 100th post) I will announce the winner of a $100 package!
This giveaway will include a $50 certificate to a store of YOUR CHOICE. In addition, I will throw in a ONE HOUR CONSULTATION to cover a topic of YOUR CHOICE that can be done in person or virtually.
Here is how you can enter: I will be keeping track of comments throughout the week. The more of the following activities you take part in, the more times you will be entered for the drawing. (replies to my e-mail regarding a post do not count )
1. Make a comment on the blog. This is done by clicking on the TITLE of the article if it comes to your e-mail. Click on Share your thoughts or Comments in the upper right hand corner. First name only is required
2. Subscribe to the blog (side bar of home page). After you do so, make sure you comment ON AN ARTICLE and tell me you subscribed. You can comment on any post throughout the week.
3. Send a link to friends and encourage them to subscribe. Then CONTACT me with the names you sent and I’ll watch the subscription list. YOU RECEIVE TWO ENTRIES FOR EACH FRIEND THAT SUBSCRIBES.

I love GRAY!! I would add bold sterling silver or oxidized sterling silver jewelry to each outfit! I also LOVE red so a red necklace, chunky bracelet or boots would be great!! LOVE your idea of the giveaway!!!
I’m all about gray this fall too…even splurged on gray boots. I love the outfits. If one wanted to jazz them up a bit, I’d consider adding purple for some “pop”. Not too dark, but a brighter shade. And I agree with another comment for adding some oxidized silver jewelery.
I have added a pop of color to my gray outfits with pink but coral is my favorite in this gray climate. These outfits don’t seem to have room for a scarf so maybe through the accessories. Once I added a pink flower pin and this might work for one of your outfits too.

I love grey, in fact I am wearing a great pair of grey jeans that I found on sale at white house/black market this weekend, regularly $108.00 on sale for $39.99. I have paired them with a deep(Jewel tone) teal sweater and they look wonderful together, I am also wearing a teal and pewter 4 chain necklace and a shimmery pewter 5 strand bracelet. It definately brightens the grey.
Can’t wait for the scarf tying video! I had to google that yesterday to find some ideas. I’m not fond of gray but you already know that.
