I have a long neck, and often wear my hair short, so scarves are essential to keeping my neck warm pretty much year round! Plus, I got accustomed to the little flair that a scarf adds to any outfit. I feel totally under-dressed when I don’t wear one now!

Thanks for the scarf post. I’ve noticed so many people wearing them lately. Like post 12, I’m warm so often I don’t wear them. Thanks for the tip about wearing them under the collar. I’ll have to give it a try if I get the scarf. It would be something new and I’m a bit timid about it.

Are all materials of scarfs in right now or only certain ones?? Like the silky things that used to be in – are they officially out now?

There is nothing like a scarf to dress up a plain outfit. My only problem is being too warm at times with one. a co-worker recently commented that a scarf is almost like adding a sweater in terms of a warm layer, and I agree. That said, I had put on a white blouse and gray slacks for work the other day and felt too plain. Checked my scarves and added one with lavender shades and white that
blended with the gray slacks and, my outfit was instantly better. By putting the long scarf under my collar on the blouse, it didn’t warm me as much as if against my neck.

I was one of those afraid of coral until I went shopping with Karen. She hooked me up with a great coral jacket and a top with coral, purple and yellow. This last year I have gotten back into the scarf habit and am enjoying having another type of accessory. I appreciate all the different ideas on how to wear them.
