It’s all about sequins this year. It’s my favorite look this holiday season. I like the idea of a sequin tank because it goes great with jeans and a cardigan. It gives a little sparkle and shine without feeling like you are over doing it. The tanks are in every store, are very reasonably priced and available in plus sizes. If you want even a little more bling, there are jackets, sweaters and shrugs covered with sequins. Personally, the more sequins the better as far as I’m concerned. However, I don’t want to look like a Christmas tree and stick out. Coupling sequins with something more subdued is more appropriate for my events.

The great thing about these tanks is they can be stretched many different ways to attend a casual or very dressy event. Pair with jeans and plain cardigan for a family party or casual dinner with friends. Wear it with tuxedo pants, heels and jewelry for dressy office party or New Year’s Eve. This look can cross various age groups and body types. (see photos below) If I could only purchase ONE piece this season, the sequin tank would be it.
I bought a sequin tank a few years ago around Christmas time. Unfortunately, I didn’t try it on at the time, and it was too tight. It stayed in my closet until earlier this fall when I got rid of it thinking it wasn’t a hot trend. It would fit for sure now, or maybe it would be too big… either way, this article has me wanting to run out and buy a new sequin tank for a Holiday party I’m going to tomorrow.

I have been looking for a sequin tank. I have tried a few on but they were ichy or too big or too tight. I saw one while Christmas shopping today but didn’t try it on – I should go back and try it on.
